Two-channel video installation, handmade fireworks, ashes of mosquitoes that died naturally, wood, rubber balloons, etc.

A mosquito has a lifespan of a little over thirty days. When a mosquito circles around me for an entire day, it is equivalent to a human spending more than two years accompanying me. She drank my blood, carrying a part of me as she drifted toward another body temperature, then flew on to places I have never reached. They became an extension of my bodily memory, fragments of a mirror of my life. Mosquitoes disrupt the integrity of the barriers between organisms, rendering bodies no longer sealed individuals. They challenge our notions of bodily integrity, boundaries, control, and privacy.

I never swat mosquitoes that have fed on my blood in my room. After they die naturally, I collect their bodies. I carefully cremate them into powder. I keep a portion of the ashes; the rest I mix with an accelerant to make fireworks. When these fireworks are ignited, the mosquitoes and a part of me burn together in the air. A specially made rubber balloon, close to skin tone and roughly equivalent in area to the amount of my skin exposed in summer, is suspended in the air. Its surface is scattered with scorch marks from the fireworks’ spray. You carry my bodily memory and continue to exist, until time dismantles us both.

一只蚊子大约有30多天的寿命，当一只蚊子在我附近盘旋一整天，相当于一个人花了2年多的时间陪着我。她吸了我的血，带着一部分的我飘荡向另一个体温，再飞向我不曾到达的地方。它们成了我身体记忆的延伸，成为我生命镜像的一个碎片。蚊子打破了生物体之间屏障的完整性，使生物不再是密封的个体。它挑战了我们关于自我完整性、边界、控制与私密的构想。

我从来不去击打在我房间吸过我血的蚊子，它们自然死亡后，我会收集它们的尸体。我认真地将它们火化成粉末。一部分粉末被我保留，另一部分被我用助燃剂混合，制作成烟火。这些烟火点燃时，蚊子和一部分的我，将一起在空气中燃烧。一只接近肤色的特制橡胶气球，面积与我夏季裸露的皮肤相仿。它悬在空中，表面散布烟火喷溅的灼点。你携带我的身体记忆继续存活，直到时间将我们共同瓦解。
