Unrelenting performance

experimental performance
katydid, copper, acrylic box, suger
Breeding katydids has a long history in China. They are carefully bred by humans because of their beautiful sounds. For katydid, chirping signifies insect love. Katydid makes sound by vibrating its wings. Based on this physiological habit, I used harmless syrup as an adhesive, and placed metal foils of different weights on the wings of 12 katydids, so that the vibration frequencies of their wings were different, thereby changing their tones. When these 12 katydids played for love, there was a touch of "music" charm. (After the performance, the metal sheet will be removed, and each katydid will be cared for by professional breeders from the beginning to the end)
